When I was in high school, it was pretty much a weekly ritual that Saturday nights (after hanging out uptown) were for watching SNL, and Monday mornings were spent rehashing and laughing our asses off at whatever comedic skits had been prolific the weekend before. By the time we got into HS, the original SNL crew from the 70s and early 80s had moved on, replaced by the new actors and actresses that became a staple of our adolescent lives in the later 80s and early 90s.

I still to this day, quote Dana Carvey's George Bush impression with, "Not gonna do it, wouldn't be prudent." anytime doing something wouldn't be a good idea. Lol.

One of the most iconic skits from the show in those years was, of course, Wayne's World with Wayne and Garth. This throwback popped up in my YT feed earlier today. Cameo by Ed O'Neal (Al Bundy). Had a good laugh watching it and reminded me that I need to find the episodes from those years and binge watch them again, sometime in the future.

The early 90s cast will always be the peak of SNL for me. I enjoyed a lot of the earlier episodes, but being born in 80 means it was the 90s before I really caught on to SNL. I can say that somewhere toward the end of highschool I just stopped watching. It became incredibly unfunny for the longest time. In fact I can't remember the last time I actually watched an episode.
