I hope everyone had an awesome Christmas spent in good cheer with family and/or good friends. I spent a few days in N. Ga at the in-laws and had a fine time enjoying some excellent food and company. Got a few gifts that were really cool this year, thought I'd share a few of the more interesting ones.

A printed (hardback) copy of Ray Bradbury's The Halloween Tree, one of my favorite stories of that season. I've been eyeing a copy for my shelves, glad to have it now.

I also received another book, this one for my Tolkien collection, Letters from Father Christmas. Another one that I've been meaning to pick up but just never did. Now that I have a copy, I think my collection is just about complete.

My daughter (10yo) painted me this picture which I absolutely adore, a scene of the night sky with moon and stars. On occasion when the sky is nice and clear and there is little light pollution, I've taken her outside and shown her the constellations. Such a great gift.

My wife got me this unique gift off of Etsy, it's a was sealed, rolled scroll containing a d20 tea steeper and several small containers of various tea flavors, all themed to D&D. The actual scroll inside has all of the tea names and the ingredients of each container that makes up the flavor. She knows I enjoy drinking tea and this turned out to be an excellent gift.

That looks cool. The wife of our local TsunamiCon convention organizer does teas, I should send this idea to her :)

I enjoy some hot tea during the non-summer months. Now that Hoth has started up here, I'll probably be enjoying some in afternoons on days I telework. I'm particularly fond of the Harney & Sons brand Paris and Tower of London blends.

Belated, but welcome to 2025 my friends! I hope you all had amazing holidays. We're off to a rocky start, but I'm hoping well all have more up years than down in this quarter century.
