I'm good with PfCon around Memorial Day or Columbus Day.

Well, I'm back on the forum. I would be good with either May or September. We have a date now for our move to CO, 21 January is my start date. I like the idea of a mid-point gathering between GaryCons, but until I get into the new office I can't express a strong preference for May or September since I don't know their schedules yet.

I'm okay moving this to Columbus Day 2020. It is a better fit with GaryCon, and it gives everyone plenty of time. I don't get Columbus Day as a holiday, but I know most of you do. As it falls on Monday Oct 12 would a Thursday/Friday thru Monday event be preferred or a Friday/Saturday thru Tuesday/Wednesday? If I recall my air travel prices correctly the latter would likely allow for cheaper airfares.

Since airfare is usually cheapest on Tuesdays, I would think flying back on Tue would be good. Depending on how many days we want to game (or more aptly, how long Sam can stand to host all of us,

)
4 days of gaming or 3 days? I'm down for either.

I'm in favor of whatever gives us the most time to hang out together!

I'm down for 4 days, or even 5. It really depends on what days work for you and how much leave time you have to spend. I'd like to maximize everyone's game time. Come early, leave late, or stay the whole time. It all works for me. I'll make sure we can fit you in somewhere. Just be sure to bring a game with you that you want to run.
Right now I'm leaning towards Columbus Day, as it does work better schedule wise between the two Garycons. The downside(?) of that is you'll be here during ACL (Austin City Limits Music Festival). The city will be packed and travel will not be cheap in and around town. It's something we can work around, but I want you to be ware.

Good to know, we can start checking airfare and such early on, probably just after GC next year, to see what flights are available and prices, way before Oct rolls around.

Emphasis mine.
Absolutely! All participants should have something up their collective sleeves.

I thought about this a little more today. We've all played A LOT of the various versions of D&D. So I thought... what if there is only 1 game, at most, of D&D and everyone else not running D&D have another game in mind. E.g. Battletech, Call of Cthulhu, DCC, Fate of the Norns: Ragnarok, Marvel Supers FASERIP, MERP, Mythras, WFRP, whatever.... Just thinking out loud here.
Any thoughts?

Yep, I will second the motion to have other games/systems and limit actual (A)D&D. Too many other interesting games out there to restrict ourselves to something we've played over the last 2-3 decades.
