Agreed, on all counts. I love Jeff's work, just don't need the biggger badder 2 volume set.

My atlases arrived along with David Prata's adventure. Time to start reading :D

The big monster book for the 2nd Edition was really nice but a wee cumbersome to haul around a convention for several days. Plus, it took up some table space! The ring bound books of the original print run were great, compact, and required little room at the table!

Cool blog, thanks for the link and review. Seems like a pretty honest take on the game.

I hope your books finally arrived, I know Jeff was getting out kickstarter orders to folks, prior to those who pre-ordered after the kickstarter. I recieved my books and map today in the mail.

Very nice alongside the orange spine AD&D collection.

And FINALLY, an entire year late, I received my package for Hyperborea 3e. I like the leatherette covers but very much prefer the art of the other versions. I'm actually having a bit of buyer's remorse for the cover selection. Oh well - c'est la vie.

I think this will be my last round of going in on Hyperborea kickstarts for the core rules. I went in on the massive all-in-one book and used it exactly once at Gary Con. I ported the Runegraver over to C&C for a GC event and that's it. Other than the HarnWorld Kingdom hardbacks, I think I'll be investing $$$ into potential growth stocks for retirement instead of more gaming books to fill up shelf space.... unless something reeeeeeaaaally nice comes along.
