Man... that's getting a wee pricey compared to previous years...

Haha no kidding, and here I thought DragonCon was getting pricey back in the day.
The first gold badge we got in 2016 was $120 if I remember correctly, Silvers were running $60, in the same time span, Silvers have gone up 60% in price, while Golds have gone up something like 96%.

Yeah. I can't see paying $215 for a gold badge... especially if seats in games are reserved for silvers to have a chance to grab them. Buying a gold at $215 is pretty much pissing away cheddar at that point. That's $$$ I can use at The Tuscan. Or on bag fees at the airport. Heh.
BTW - Don goes back Down Under soon so the
Barons of Bellevue who remain in the local area are looking at getting together again for a C&C one-shot on one afternoon. I'll run my Into the
Mines of Moria scenario for the Barons and have a good play test opportunity.

If all goes well, maybe I'll run it more than once at Gary Con....
EDIT: I just jumped over to the Dragon Con page to look at pricing. Their 2022 Membership, 5-Days, (THURS - MON) is $160.

Prices are only going up my friends. If you think inflation is done I'm here to tell you it isn't. We'll be looking at these prices fondly in a few years.

Emphasis mine.
Play test was hellafun! Sam and Pippin were eaten by The Watcher in the Water.

This is definitely a 4 hour scenario!

I'm playing in a softball tournament on July 30th starting at 9 AM so will have to snag my badge when I get home. I intend to go for a silver badge.
Let's coordinate our event submissions to not unnecessarily overlap. I'm considering running 2 or 3 sessions of

The GC Facebook group posted some new info:
Badge Purchasing:
https://tabletop.events/conventions/gar ... badgetypes
We've added a new kind of non-renewable Platinum badge, at a lower price. This means that during badge purchase, we'll have some Platinums available. Should the renewable Platinums not sell out, those will be available too, but we wanted to create an opportunity for everyone to get access to these badges.
Policy Changes:
We are aligning with how other conventions do a couple policies. One is that all badge sales are final. Should you find yourself not able to go, can you transfer your badge which you can no longer use to someone else? Yes. That's always been allowed.
The other policy change is that all physical attendees must be vaxed. To get your badge, you'll have to show your proof of current vaccination.
For more on policies, go here:
https://garycon.com/policies/
In order to get your physical badge or purchase one on-site, you'll be required to present proof of Up-to-Date Vaccination. Up-to-Date Vaccination is defined by the CDC here, but in short, it'll mean you've received your initial vaccination, plus boosters.
Masking
If there is no mask mandate in effect, then masks will be optional.

Grabbed two Silvers, one for Quinn and one for me. The Gold were actually around for quite some time, I noticed it took a good 15-20 minutes before they were sold out.

Got my SILVER so I'm in.
I'll have to remember to pack the vaccination card!
I'm thinking of running a session of Into the Mines of Moria on Sunday like you did with Solomon Kane. With a lot of people leaving on Sunday, the reduced noise in the game play areas was really nice.
