That was cool Sam, thanks for posting it.

I thought I had posted about this, but apparently not.
Last year I watched the first season of the Hardy Boys, an original TV series on Hulu based on the books. I thought it was really well done and evoked what you would expect from the stories. Season 2 dropped last month and I'm about half-way through, so far the new season is just as enjoyable as the first. I don't think they'll be able to get more than another season or two at the most before the actors/actresses in the series outgrow the characters, but if they manage even that, I'll be pretty happy to keep watching, overall.

Every town has its secrets. When the Hardy boys, Frank (16) and Joe (12), arrive in Bridgeport, they set out to uncover the truth behind the recent tragedy that has changed their lives, and in doing so, uncover something much more sinister.
Something only they can stop.

Awful. Just awful.
the God of Thunder needs to go figure out who he is and listen to some GnR? He's the f*cking GOD OF F*CKING THUNDER for f*ck's sake!!!
I'm so glad I'm not more invested in Marvel movies.

I heard about this. Apparently, as is with Marvel, DC, and other comics, (not to mention just about every other f*cking form of entertainment these days) it's all about pushing "The Message" as Critical Drinker would say. So, Marvel decided to emasculate Thor and replace him with a her.

December of last year I posted the trailer for the movie, The Northman that came out just week or so back. I thought it looked really cool then, and reviews have been good. Critical Drinker even thinks we need more movies of this sort, so I'm going to guess it's as good as I expected.

It was an interview with the two show runners, and, alas, there was no super-cool new preview. They did reveal a little about several of the (many, many) new characters, but nothing new-and-cool-and-unrevealed like a new trailer (I had visions of Moria-like sneak peeks dancing in my head ).
That said, the two show runners seem like total geeks who are focused on getting the details right, and they sounded sufficiently competent that I may check it out.
Allan.

Glad to hear the interview went well; if you decide to watch the series, let us know what you think.grodog wrote: ↑April 29th, 2022, 10:55 pm It was an interview with the two show runners, and, alas, there was no super-cool new preview. What did you think? I really liked this movie. It was visually stunning and utterly brutal.Necron 99 wrote: ↑April 29th, 2022, 4:07 pm December of last year I posted the trailer for the movie, The Northman that came out just week or so back.
