The biggest problem for most fans of the show was that they fired Gena Carano, who was playing Cara Dune, one of the fan-favorite, main characters. Back in 2020 when drama was flying across the interwebs for the election, she stated an opinion online in response to someone else, the opposing group didn't like what she said, the mob did what they always do on Twitter and rabbled, Disney and crew bent the knee and in order to keep good graces, sacrificed booted her. Peeved off a lot of people from what I could tell, subscriptions to Disney+ started dropping, etc.

Then Pedro Pascal got weird and decided he wanted more face time, literally, like didn't want his face constantly hidden behind the helmet. Which goes against everything the Mandalorian is. There was some talk about him taking the helmet off more in the show which also turned a lot of folks off because it broke canon. There were apparently some other issues with him, behind the scenes, like being asked to leave the set and such after crew members became upset; over what, idk.

There's been talk that season 3 is on hold and that the new Boba Fett series will be taking the spot of The Mandalorian.

Got a good chuckle watching this. Hopefully Disney doesn't eff this up, a continuing series for Willow has potential.

If Carano was doing a good job on Mandolorian (again, I've not watched the show) but went off posting election conspiracy bullshit (I read her tweet from 5-Nov-20), the best way to have handled it would've been to shine the light on the bullshit and expose it as such. They could've kept Carano, a fan-favorite from what I gather, and had no disruption on The Mandalorian.

As for Pascal... I imagine the producers had to have told him the character wears a helmet all the time. No surprises, right? I get that actors want to have face time to show what they can do... it leads to future roles. If the Mandalorian character wears the helmet all the time, or if the show runners want the character to wear the helmet all the time, let Pascal out of his contract and put someone else in the suit.

And therein lies the rub. This is why I despise Twitter (and social media in general) so much. It allows people, all people, to just pop off about anything and everything on an impulse when what they have to say is probably better left unsaid. And it's not just limited to any one particular person, group, or faction, it's everyone. I've seen some pretty despicable things said by actors, musicians, and other "celebrities" whom I've admired in the past, that just completely ruin any respect I'd had for them. Twitter, imo, is the worst thing that could ever have happened to the internet.

As for ole Perdro, if the series continues, I feel like that's exactly what will happen. He'll either zip it and wear the helmet or he'll drop and get replaced. Either way, it's not a show I've watched or care to watch; sink or swim, whatever happens won't affect me in the slightest.

Found a teaser for a new western themed show. It has Sam Elliot and other well known actors/actresses, looks pretty good to me. I'll definitely give it a go.

Can't believe this is coming to an end, such a great sci-fi series. Six years is damn fine, I just wish there was a year or two more in the pipe.

Social media is the perfect tool for those lacking common sense, impulse control, and good character to spread BS and lies in a manner that requires no courage whatsoever and prevent subsequent face-to-face challenges which would dispel said BS and lies. It is a means for mice to make virtual tigers of themselves. The use and weaponization of social media for dishonorable and despicable purposes by awful people is a symptom of a larger problem within our society.

Too bad Oberyn was killed in season 4 of GoT. He was my favorite character. All he wanted to do was enjoy life and right the wrongs done to his family by awful people. There's definitely no going back to the role of Oberyn *SPLAT* for Pedro...
