All Hasbro and WotC drama aside, I had mentioned that I would probably see the D&D movie, it's something I think my daughter would like, as she loves playing Dungeon and similar board games that we have.
Anyhow, I had planned to take her sometime after the convention was over, but I got a notification just yesterday, that there was a special early viewing at select theaters for members of Amazon Prime. I clicked the link and found out that the local theater here is participating in a 2pm showing on the 19th. So, in prep for the upcoming con, and the chance to see the movie early with the family. I grabbed tickets and we're planning to so it tomorrow.
I'll let you know what I think, sometime after. Not expecting an A+ here, just something fun and D&Dish that is entertaining to watch.

A new Neflix series is coming out this month, trailer looks promising, but you never know with television and films these days.

New take on Dracula, looks pretty good to me, but I feel like they show too much of the movie in the trailer.

We know how this ends if the movie stays true to the book. No one makes it to England.
At least it has Liam Cunningham in it. He did an excellent job playing Davos Seaworth in Game of Thrones.

My dad watched the original television show back in the 80s, starring Edward Woodward, and one of these days I'd like to start watching it myself. Outside of the original series, I've seen both of the prior movies, starring Denzel Washington. Solid action films, I enjoyed watching both. I had no idea they were making a third film but I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the final chapter.

A funny looking action flick with Nick Cage.

While this appears to be just a ghost story themed horror film, the time period and setting ooze Lovecraft, imo.

I'm looking forward to this one. It's an adaptation of an Agatha Christie novel, Hallowe'en Party. I've not read it but Branagh has done a good job adapting other Christie novels, Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile.

Did not know this, all the better that it's based on an AC novel.
