I gave some thought to that initially, too, but I think the primary reasoning for PfCon was to get together in-person and hang out. Since I know many of us are already playing regularly online/virtually, I don't know if it's something we want to look at. I know for me, personally, I had planned to bring a board game or two, which are a bit harder to play online, unless you're using TTS or something.

I’m running some GH events in Virtual Greyhawk Con at the beginning of October, and will probably re-up them (or sims classics) for Virtual TsunamiCon 2 weeks later

I've seen some of that floating around various FB groups, I'll have to check into a it a bit more. Thanks Allan.

So right now PFCon is in a holding pattern. There is too much pestilence and other ridiculousness going on. If we do get something to help reign things in I'll be looking to do something in February. Likely around Presidents Day, to help with those who get the day off from work. Since none of us knows how things are going to shake out please keep this in mind. If things are looking up I hope we can get together.

If February doesn't work out, we can always eyeball another time in 2021. I still definitely want to get together and have some quality time and gaming!Captain_Blood wrote: ↑October 25th, 2020, 2:44 am So right now PFCon is in a holding pattern. Or maybe.... Mythras....

IIRC I played a session of RuneQuest 6 back around GenCon 2012 and enjoyed it. Mythras is basically RuneQuest with the Glorantha stuff removed which is GREAT as far as I'm concerned. For a change of pace from (A)D&D and the horde of clones, I could see running a Mythras session for those attending a PfCon or similar such gathering. I think I'll start a thread over in roleplaying games that discusses Mythras....

Caught a few posts from the Origins FB group and it still seems very much, up in the air about whether there will be a physical con next year, though some folks went on to say that GenCon is planning to be up and running but it falls at the end of summer and seems more likely a candidate for opening up than the beginning of the summer.
This may be reason enough to consider just going ahead with plans for PfCon or similar event, just forget about trying to deal with, and work around other convention schedule and "possible" running.

I agree. For 2021, why bother coordinating around maybes and unknowns? We have enough folks in our circle for gaming goodness. I'm thinking if we can get 5+ for a solid group (a DM/GM and 4 players) to commit then we should be able to do it. We'd just need to figure out the folks who can attend, determine a start and end date, where it will happen, who will run what, etc. I did this ion 2017 with OmaCon and it was a lot of fun. The hardest part was the scheduling.
