Good session last Saturday, Cap'n Blood. I like laying the smack down on a foe. :fighter:

I'm glad y'all are having some early successes. I look forward to seeing how y'all handle next week. :D

Speaking of which, thought I would chime in to get a confirmation of our gaming plans for this Saturday, 02 May. It will be- more or less, the feast of Beltane, if anyone is interested in noting.

Cheers,
Wesley

Emphasis mine.
Thanks for the reminder! I think I'll have some water of life this evening in acknowledgement.

Excellent! I've always admired your script, Lord Walker. 8-)

What kind of ink did you use for Call O' the Sidhe?

Thanks, man. It's a Mont Blanc pen and ink cartridge. It's not been writing very well for me- trying to figure out what's wrong or work through it. Otherwise I typically use a Speedball nib and ink.

Cool. I don't own a Mont Blanc but do very much enjoy writing with fountain pens. Currently using an Italix Parson's Essential with a F nib and Diamine Jet Black ink.

What kinds of issues are you having while writing with the Mont Blanc?

Yeah, the fountain pens are really lovely to write with. My Mont Blanc was a gift, of course. I think I let it sit too long without using it, so the inkflow is really not up to snuff anymore. 😬

Do you know if the ink that sat in the pen during non-use was dye-based or pigment based?

Dyes for fountain pen ink are inherently water-soluble, so even if they do dry out and clog the pen, you can almost always clean it with just warm water. You may need to flush the feeder and nib for several minutes to get all of the dried ink out of the pen. I typically flush mine under the bathroom or kitchen sink faucet with a paper towel handy to test for color the water coming out of the nib.

Pigment based inks are not water-soluble. If any such inks dry out inside a fountain pen it can be extremely difficult to clean the pen and get it working properly again.

Hopefully it was a dye based ink in your Mont Blanc as a good fountain pen is really fun for writing!
