This social situation gives you anxiety
Poppin' pills to inoculate your sobriety
Anti-social saturation got you empty inside
Like your staring down the barrel of a .45
Bet you might
Another day in the life of the clueless and dramatic
Yeah they keep changing the rules
When the screens never stop and the fear is automatic
What do you do?
What do you do?
Because you think for yourself and you don't need the help
And there's so many friends to lose
Just another day in the life of the clueless and dramatic
They want you to conform but it's not in your nature
They provide the illness that infects your behavior
(And love your neighbor)
As they're raiding all your secrets and invading your thoughts
Trolling your emotions at any cost
Turn it off, turn it off
Another day in the life of the clueless and dramatic
Yeah they keep changing the rules
When the screens never stop and the fear is automatic
What do you do?
What do you do?
Because you think for yourself and you don't need the help
And there's so many friends to lose
Just another day in the life of the clueless and dramatic
'matic
'matic
'matic
'matic
Another day in the life of the clueless and dramatic
Yeah they keep changing the rules
When the screens never stop and the fear is automatic
What do you do?
What do you do?
Because you think for yourself and you don't need the help
And there's so many friends to lose
Turn it off
Save yourself from the clueless and dramatic
Turn it off
Save yourself from the clueless and dramatic
From the clueless and dramatic
From the clueless and dramatic

From out of the blue comes this cut, Helpless, from 2002 by Geoff Tate, the then lead vocalist of Queensryche. Cool tune.

Maybe it's just me or the singer's vocals, but it gives me a David Bowie vibe.

Hmmm. Hadn't thought of that. But I must admit I've never spent much time listening to Bowie.

I posted The Oath by KISS a while back but I found a version released about 2 weeks ago that was updated by a guy who gave the song a bit of a modern update. Personally, I think the updated version sounds waaaay better than the modern rock I hear on radio. And, besides, the song just kicks arse!

Nice, I see the guy remastered Detroit Rock City too. Sounds good.

I heard this on the way to work this morning and thought it sounded superb.

One of my favorites, seems an appropriate choice.
Good song about growing up, the choices we make as we move from childhood to adults, and reflecting on it all
September - Daughtry
Good song about growing up, the choices we make as we move from childhood to adults, and reflecting on it all
September - Daughtry
How the time passed away, all the trouble that we gave
And all those days we spent out by the lake
Has it all gone to waste? All the promises we made
One by one they vanish just the same
Of all the things I still remember
Summer's never looked the same
The years go by and time just seems to fly
But the memories remain
In the middle of September we'd still play out in the rain
Nothing to lose but everything to gain
Reflecting now on how things could've been
It was worth it in the end
Now it all seems so clear, there's nothing left to fear
So we made our way by finding what was real
Now the days are so long that summer's moving on
We reach for something that's already gone, yeah
Of all the things I still remember
Summer's never looked the same
The years go by and time just seems to fly
But the memories remain
In the middle of September we'd still play out in the rain
Nothing to lose but everything to gain
Reflecting now on how things could've been
It was worth it in the end
Yeah, we knew we had to leave this town (we knew we had to leave this town)
But we never knew when and we never knew how (we never knew how)
We would end up here the way we are
Yeah, we knew we had to leave this town (we knew we had to leave this town)
But we never knew when and we never knew how (we never knew how)
Of all the things I still remember
Summer's never looked the same
The years go by and time just seems to fly
But the memories remain
In the middle of September we'd still play out in the rain
Nothing to lose but everything to gain
Reflecting now on how things could've been
