I don't know how this ended up in my recommended videos on Youtube, but I clicked on it just out of curiosity and was pleasantly surprised. It's a pretty good metal song, practically begs to be written into a D&D adventure.

I may have to check out some of their other songs/albums. Anyone else heard of them?

Eternal Champions - I Am The Hammer (Long into, lyrics kick in about 1:50, just fyi.)

Never heard of them. Sounds like they really want to be Judas Priest!

Did some looking into other songs from Eternal Champion today and another band was recommended via Youtube. Vengeance has some sic guitar solos, too, really dig these songs.

Ashbury - The Warning

Looking through the keyhole
As you hear the thunder roar
You see the lightening flashing
But you know not what it's for
There looks to be a stallion
With a rider on it's back
You have seen him pass
And know that he'll be back

He looks to be a wizard
Or perhaps a magic man
With eyes of liquid fire
Golden staff within his hand
And he rides above the mountains
With the secret that he holds
The time has come, the people must be told

So shall it be written
So shall it be done
Came the warning from the prophet
And it came to pass before the rising sun

He looked upon the thousands
That had come to hear him speak
He warned them of the darkness
Of their evil and their greed
But somehow they ignored him
Though their faces filled with fear
So he turned away and shed a single tear

So shall it be written
So shall it be done
Came the warning from the prophet
And it came to pass before the rising sun

Well his words had gone unheeded
Nothing more that could be done
He returned into the mountains
From where he had begun
Now he watches from the heavens
As the void is drawing near
And the prophet's words are ringin'
All too clear, all too clear, all too clear

So shall it be written
So shall it be done
Came the warning from the prophet
And it came to pass before the rising sun
So shall it be written
So shall it be done
Came the warning from the prophet
And it came to pass before the rising sun

Ashbury - Vengeance

Morning brings the sunrise
To the mountain of the Dane
In the over lying distance
The dealer deals the pain
In the land of forgotten lifetimes
An angel guards the time
Memories won't fail me
And vengence will be mine
I move slowly through the darkness
Lookin' for the light

In a vision I was taken
By the wizard's deadly game
Reaching for the boundries
Held here by the chains
Vanguard of the darkness
Black Riders in the night
Shadows now surround me
A victim of their flight
I move slowly through the darkness
Looking for the light

As the moonlight over takes me
I walk on through the night
Vengence still evades me
As the Dark Lord holds the Nine
Time now passing quickly
Dark victory is near
A hero's badly needed
With courage free of fear
He moves slowly through the darkness
Looking for the light

Time for another dose of Iron Maiden! This time the track id from the most excellent 1984 album, Powerslave. Check out The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.

Man, I'd forgotten how truly awesome Maiden really is. I love that song and can't remember the last time I heard it!

Since Maiden seems to be doing pretty well recently here, this is a lesser known slice of awesomeness from the Piece of Mind album that ranks highly in my list of fave tunes from the band. From Piece of Mind here is Still Life.

I consider the song Innuendo to be a masterpiece from Queen right up there with Bohemian Rhapsody. It was on the 1991 album of the same name and was the last one Freddie Mercury worked on while still alive. I hope you enjoy it!

This one just came out of left field tonight after not having heard it for a few years. From Pink Floyd's Momentary Lapse of Reason (1987) check out Learning to Fly....
