The Valley of the Dead looks interesting... too bad it runs the same time I'm running my game @ noon Thursday. It's on my list as a backup option for later int he day if my primary choice is no longer available.

THURSDAY
Hitting the Dealer's Room @ 1000 to say hi to folks (grodog, tacojohn, The Trolls, Jeff T., et al) and, yes, believe it or not, probably pick up a set of dice.

Running The Skull of Tamoachan from 1200 - 1600.

Open from 1600 - 1800 for early dinner and Spotted Cow.

From 1800 - 2200 I'm looking at The Lands of Ice and Snow, an AD&D 1e event. I never get to play 1e anymore unless I'm at Gary Con so I'm scratching that itch.
Your tribe needs you. The winter has lasted much longer than it normally does and the wise ones have cast the bones and they point to Whitefang mountain as the source of the dark magic curse that is afflicting the land. They have chosen you and your fellow tribes people to take the dangerous journey to Whitefang mountain. This is a 1st Edition AD&D Barbarian Themed adventure.

FRIDAY
0900 - 1200 I'm looking at Secrets of the Hidden Temple, a C&C event. The only time I get to play C&C since 2012 is at Gary Con so scratching that itch, too.
Peace and prosperity have allowed most of the people of the Kingdom of Timiro to grow complacent, but the Old Ones are patient and their schemes are inscrutable. Only small bands of worthy adventures remain vigilant among the corrupted forces of humankind. The characters must brave a hidden temple in order to retrieve an artifact to guard the lands of men against the coming chaos.

That sounds pretty damned vanilla but I do like me some C&C!

1400 - 1800 I'm looking at LEGIO V: Under Kalric's Tower, another AD&D 1e event. Francisca is running this one. I had a good time in his AS&SH Onja Cot game 2 years ago so I know this should be solid.
The Wizard Kalric and his Tower disappeared a thousand years ago and has mysteriously reappeared. Will you and your companions survive the terrors of the labyrinthine maze of tunnels and chambers beneath? A classic dungeon delving scenario. This is the inaugural event of what will become an on-going living dungeon run annually at Gary Con, and possibly at other conventions. Characters provided.

Open 1800 - 2000 for dinner and Spotted Cow.

2000 - Midnight I'm looking at The Wreck of the Bellerophon, GURPS game that for some strange reason does not involve dumbassery like Scooby Doo, My Little Pony, or Sailor Moon. I don't know why a lot of GMs running GURPS at cons put stupid stuff like that in their games but I'm glad this one bucks the trend. Last time I remember playing a session of GURPS was 2010 at Dragon Con so, again, scratching that particular itch.
This is a Legends of Roleplaying Event. After a terrible storm wrecks the Bellerophon in the Caribbean Sea in 1741. The remaining crew needs to survive on the unknown shore, and hope another ship can rescue them. This is a horror game in the sense your characters are unprepared for the situation they find themselves in.

That has A LOT of potential for an evening session.

SATURDAY - this will be my busy day!
1000 - 1400 I'm looking at The Skull of Vruna, an OD&D event.
This is a Legends of Roleplaying Event. Part Two of the three-part Gen Con X Tournament held in 1977! A multi-level dungeon adventure in which the PCs must retrieve an ancient skull from the crypts below the ruined tower of a long-dead mage. Devious traps, fiendish creatures, and unexpected challenges await! Original scenario by Bob Blake.

1400 - 1800 I'm looking at LEGIO V: Into the Demon-sieged Crypt-town, a Stormbringer event. I read several Elric novels back in the late 90s but have never had the chance to play Stormbringer so I want give it a go.
Adventure in the Young Kingdoms of Michael Moorcock’s Elric stories! As the heirs and retainers of Count Radosvet of the Island of Purple Towns, you aim to recover the family’s fortune, secreted away in a remote town besieged by a landless Melnibonéan war captain. Terrible Demons, Bloody Percentile Combat, Armor Rolls, Major Wounds and Broken Weapons await! Using Chaosium’s Stormbringer 1st - 3rd.

1800 - 2200 I'm looking at LEGIO V: The Hyqueous Vaults, an OSRIC/1e event for PCs level 2-3. This might be something I could adapt for my C&C home game if I enjoy it enough at GCXII.
A centuries-old map leads to a mysterious cliffside complex, rumored to be flooded, and supposedly holding a dead necromancer’s fortune. The complex stands ripe for exploration by a party sufficiently strong and sneaky to wrest any treasures from the depths within. Level 2-3 characters provided for this OSRIC/1E classic dungeon crawl.

2200+ open for conversation and Spotted Cow.

SUNDAY
1100 - 1500+/- I'm running The Skull of Tamoachan.

Each day Thursday - Saturday I have 2-3 other events on a spreadsheet as backup options if my primary choice is unavailable through the artificial limitations on seats put in place by GC.

Dude, this was one of the games I was really torn about playing for that time slot, I may just have to drop the Tekumel game and try to grab a ticket if you're going to play, that way we can get into a game together.

Diamond and platinum should be mostly done as of today, gold event registration next weekend. Woohoo!

American changed my arrival to ORD on Wednesday, Mar 25th to 3pm.

I'm also having to completely get new flights for Quinn, since he and his folks are moving to Huntsville, AL in about 2 weeks, so his flights out from St. Louis will be bunk. Thanksfully, I only used points for his original trip and can cancel them without losing actual money. Right now flights into ORD at the cheapest rate may mean he doesn't arrive until just after 4pm. <sigh>

Will post when I get things finalized.
Emphasis mine.
Are those times set? The info will be useful for scheduling the rental car pickup.

Just to reiterate and clarify, the current travel schedules for Quinn and I are as follows:

Arrival on Wed, Mar 25th, we're actually both arriving the same flight together from Charlotte, landing at 2:53pm.
Flying out on Mon, Mar 30th, Quinn takes off at 11:49am, I take off at 11:55am.

Rental car is booked. Pickup time is 3:30 for a mid-size car. We are NOT using FOX Rental since they sucked so badly last year.

Noticed something interesting today while browsing through events, after gold badge registration.

One of the games that I just happened to check out had, in the list of attendees, Matthew Lillard. There aren't too many folks with that name that I know of, so I wondered if it could actually be THE Matthew Lillard (Scooby Doo movies, Hackers, Scream, etc). I know he's a big D&D guy and even started a company to put out products for D&D 5e, so I checked out the special guests for 2020 and sure enough, he's listed on there.

Kinda cool that he'll be checking out the con this year. I'm not generally one of those who run around and make a big stink about actors and such but I do think it's cool he'll be attending and actually gaming in regular games.

Having seen none of the Scooby Doo films, I would never have known who Matthew Lillard is had you not mentioned it. That's pretty cool that he's showing up to actually roll the bones.

For the two events I'm running, the Thursday game had 4 people sign up and, due to the artificial limitation on tickets, one person is having to wait. I wonder how many folks had to get on a wait list for events.

My Sunday event is wide open with 4 seats left. It would be cool if Q and some of the NY crew grabbed seats.
