He was also in Wing Commander and The Groomsmen... so yeah you probably don't know him. :D Seriously he's been in a lot of stupid comedies too. The kind you laugh at but probably don't watch more than once. If you saw his face you'd likely recognize him. I bet he'd be a fun guy to roll dice with!

I actually chatted with him last year on some random D&D forum, mentioned to him that he should really check out GaryCon. Looks like he's finally making the move this year. I agree, he's really into D&D, I bet he's a blast to play with.

I have no events in the Forums this year.

The Skull of Tamoachan sessions are in the Galewood. The games I signed up to play are in Evergreen and Galewood. It hit me this morning that I wonder what the noise levels will be in those rooms from Thursday - Saturday.... :uh:

It will be much less noisy than the Forums, that's for sure. It looks like someone may have taken some of my advise/criticism from last year and actually applied it. One of the things I emphasized was the lack of having the old-school gaming in the rooms that they were in prior, within the main area of the resort (i.e. Evergreen and Galewood. I had noticed that many of the AD&D and D&D games were being shoved into the forums because the 5e games were taking up the major part of the areas upstairs.

Whether that was a factor or as they say, the 5e and AL games outgrew those rooms, idk, but i noticed a lot of the old-school games were back this year, which is perfectly fine by me. I remember a year or so back, someone mentioned putting the 5E and AL folks in the Forums and the guy for Garycon who manages all of the WotC stuff had a hissy fit about being shoved into there, away from the main part of the resort and refused to move events there. Funny how suddenly, it's not a big deal any more.

Something we've discussed more than once is the eventual need for a cap on attendance for GC due to growth and space limitations. Luke addressed this on the GC Forums today with:

Yes, there is a cap already we just haven't hit it. If we go over 3000 we will be looking at ceasing sales of on site badges.

Luke

On one hand Its good to see a cap is being considered. OTOH it states "we will be looking at ceasing sales" which is quite different than a hard cap at 3000. It will be interesting to see how this plays out with the attendance numbers for GCXII.

Since you reposted, I figured I'd also repost after trimming some fat so schedules are located near each other.
