Definitely has a cool sci-fi suspense vibe to it.

I remember starting to read the first Dune novel about 20 +/- years ago. I got about halfway through and put it down as it didn't reach out and grab me. One of these years I should try again since the story seems to have some staying power... :lol:

The trailer does look good, and it conveys a lot more of the background political machinations than I would have expected (this is a good thing, I think).

Nice use of Pink Floyd too!

Looks like a new mini-series for The Stand is coming out. Seems ok based on the trailer, we'll see if they eff it up.

Long ago I read the uncut version of The Stand (1,148 pages if memory serves) and there wasn't a bad page in the entire book. I really hope this new show does justice to the source material.
