I've been delving quite a bit, back into Middle-Earth through videos and reading, I also jumped back onto my old account for LotR Online, it's been many years since I've explored ME through the online game and thought I'd give it a another whirl since I'd forgotten much of what I'd played. By and far, my favorite location to adventure is the Shire, there are so many great quests and things to see, the graphics while dated, still manage to draw me into the the game and give a sense being there.

I created a new character, a Fallohide Hobbit hunter by the name of Tolahil. The Fallohides were the first hobbits to come to the Shire and tend to be lovers of trees and the woodlands.

The scenery in the game is great, below are some of the screenshots from various locations at the beginning of the game.

After completing my quests near Archet, I travelled to The Shire to begin adventures proper, I started off near Michel Delving, assisting other hobbits with tasks and quests.

A bit later on, a task I was given in Tuckborough had me travel to the postmaster in Needlehole at the northern edge of the Shire, to deliver a sachel of letters. Below is a map for the theShire, along with some images of the Rushock Bog as I was passing through. I love the detail they give with the low lying mist above the water as I got closer to Needlehole.

Where are the giant worms ported over from Dune?
