Was watching some info vids for working out and ran across this one for 40+. Great info if you want to learn how to build more muscle and get stronger after you hit the 40s and 50s.

Good idea for a thread! We gamer types have been known to be a little less than perfect physical specimens.....
For me, the constant battle is controlling the refrigerator and monitoring portion(s). When I'm in the zone on that end, weight loss is pretty easy. I don't need to hit the gym. Playing softball (running, throwing, fielding, batting) a few days a week is good at my age works the body pretty well.

A good video detailing the benefits of removing sugar from your diet. Towards the end of the video, he even talks about the benefits as they pertain to COVID, too.

HO-LY SHIT does the food industry in 'Murica poison its customers by pumping all types of sugars into its food "products"! The proof is in the (walking) pudding across the country... *Le Sigh*

I don't drink coffee, so most mornings I have a cup of green tea with a tablespoon of localized honey to sweeten. Ran across this video about the benefits of adding honey to your daily diet, even if you're trying to lose weight.

Sugar and portion size are my downfall. Like Ancalagon, when I'm in "the zone" it's easy. Just something seems to come along and knock me out of the good habits every 6 weeks, and I have to start all over again.

I've been "in the zone" since New Years Day with strict attention to portion sizes and the types of foods I'm eating. As of yesterday morning, roughly six weeks, I've dropped 18 pounds. I intend to drop 12 more in time for softball season which should be pretty easy at this rate.
