This weekend has been the hottest weekend so far down here in north Florida. We're sitting at 94 but it feels like 103, with 52% humidity and almost no breeze. These are the days I hate living here. Our mid-late summers here in Florida are to heat, what the winter days up in the northern climates are to cold. Just too dang hot and miserable to go outside and do anything worthwhile. Thankfully in the late evenings the temps drop and cool a bit, the humidity sticks around unfortunately, but at least then you don't bake so getting out and riding bikes or walking isn't too bad.
At this point, I'm just about ready for summer to end, need some of that pleasant autumn weather to roll in but Oct and Nov are a long ways away.

Up here it was in the 60s this morning when I got to the ballpark for a tournament. By 1100 it was upper 80s but the humidity up here is generally lower than GA / FL. I played 4 games from 0900 - 1300 and it was great fun. I want summer to hang around as loooooong as possible cuz the frozen hell of NE winters just f*ckin' sucks.
Monday should be about 95. Tues - Wed is forecast to hit 100. Thur - Fri is forecast to hit 97 - 99. Works for me!

It's been pretty much 100+ since the beginning of May here. I can't get enough

I'm glad I have AC, but I think it being broken for so long last Summer has really enhanced my already natural tolerance for heat. However, I can't say this enough, fuck the cold!

Tonight - Mostly clear, with a low around 33. North northwest wind 6 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 17 mph.
Monday - Sunny, with a high near 46. North northwest wind 7 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
Monday Night - Clear, with a low around 23. North wind 6 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Snow a few days ago. Last night it got down to 13 degrees. In mid-November. GAWDAMMIT!!!
Tonight: Mostly clear, with a steady temperature around 21. West southwest wind 7 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Tomorrow: Mostly sunny, with a high near 28. Blustery, with a northwest wind 9 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
Winter is here and will probably be like this most of the time through March.

Yeah dude, that's kinda rough. But, as you said, break out some good chili, maybe sit back with a book or do some gaming prep. We're down into the high 30s for the lows, but the temps will hit highs of 60s, then drop into the 50s later this week as the cold front pushes through. I think Christmas weekend we'll see highs in the 40s here; the girls and I will be up in Ga visiting family, the highs up there will be in the 30s. Still not as bad as Nebraska, but cold enough that it will FEEL like Christmas which is cool, I think last year was a bit warmer.

Emphasis mine.
Snow started during the night... not a lot but enough to be slushy and freeze tonight when it dips down to 2 degrees.
Chili will probably be coming online tomorrow!
GA doesn't get as cold as NE but it has higher humidity so the cool dampness of Dec / Jan is definitely noticeable.
And I have one of my convention modules in mind for a good deal of expansion to make more suitable for publication v a one-shot con scenario. I intend to use the frozen hell of Jan / Feb to work on stuff to finally publish.

It's no fun down here in Central TX either. That damn Canadian air has got temps below freezing for the next 2 days. I keep saying people are building that border wall on the wrong border!!! Thankfully we'll be back to 70 by next weekend
