Pipes, Pints, and Polyhedrons

I wasn't really sure what to expect when I started watching this, but I enjoyed listening to the history and evolution of the game. I noticed the majority of the books shown were from 2nd Edition. I liked how he mentioned that some rules were bent and some broken, that now, his system has really taken on a life of it's own.

It's fairly evident to see when you look at some of the video clips. This one in particular appears to be a PC, guessing lizard man or some variation thereof. If you look at the text on the sheet, you can see stats for STR, DEX, INT, WIS, CON, CHA, and Comeliness. The class denotes multi-class of some sort, this one showing Enchanter and Holy Warrior. The Saving Throws have been changed to Internal Physical, External Physical, Magical, Spiritual, and Mental. Further down you see some characteristics which obviously have some importance, "Seen ghosts", "God calls", "Protected vs Fire" and the rest is lost in obscurity.

The video mentions that he has over 50 players, that is insane. I also find his discussion of players and characters interesting that he says, if you're character dies and you don't have any other characters, the game is over for you. That's pretty intense.

Put the time in, develop some family connections / history, engage with hirelings and henchmen so as to be sure to have an option if an adventure goes sideways. Besides, all those other connections help expand and enrich the game world!
