Free RPG Day is this Saturday. Is anyone else participating? I will be running The Witcher RPG and Dungeon Crawl Classic RPG at a local game store.

Cool to hear DCC will be running. I didn't make time to plan a game since I may be out of town, it would have been nice to throw down one of the funnel adventures. I haven' t heard if any of the shops around here will be participating. I did take a look at the FRPGD website and the offerings seemed a bit lackluster this year.

I'm playing softball that afternoon. To be honest, none of the freebies offered tripped my trigger so I probably won't even swing by a game shop that day.

Agreed. The only ones that stood out to me are the Kids on Bikes adventure, and the Q-Workshop dice. Maybe the F&F clone module but I know nothing about that already.

Allan.

I had 5 players for the session that I ran for the Witcher RPG. It went really well. Everyone had a good time and the system works really well, at least in its streamlined version. Sadly, I only had two people show up for the DCC RPG so I ended up playing in my friend Peter's Land of Myth bronze age 5th edition setting. All in all, there was a big turn out and everyone seemed to have a good time.

Glad to hear The Witcher RPG did well, a bit surprised about DCC, but I guess depending on gamer demographics, dungeon-crawling may or may not be appealing.

I was surprised as well since there were quite a number of people grabbing the DCC Quickstart book and adventure. I saw one customer describing DCC to one of the store employees and I just figured that he was going to join us but he didn't. He probably had to take off is my guess.
