This device pops in in my feed every few months. The actual knowledge and capabilites of the ancient civilizations is staggering. Rome was actually on the brink of the industrial revolution. They had primitive, impractical, steam engines. They just needed some supporting inventions and more stability in the latter years of the Empire. The Dark Age that followed slowed our advancement as a species by an immeasurable amount in my opinion.
