All the big news outlets and vast majority of local affiliates and newspapers are owned by corporations with agendas. My go-to news outlet used to be NPR since it has no corporate ownership to dictate its coverage but over the last few years it has plunged into identity politics such that 80%+/- of the stories presented fall under that umbrella.

To live such a simple life. If I could, I would move to Scotland (or Ireland) in a heartbeat, and live out the rest of my days without even the slightest glance back. When I see videos like this, it never fails to bring up thoughts for my Iavas Sul setting.

Good stuff! Loved the snippet of bagpipes. And when the topic turned to Orkney people living underground 5,000 years ago, I hope I'm not the only one who thought of hobbits.Necron 99 wrote: ↑July 26th, 2023, 10:57 am To live such a simple life. If I could be fortunate enough tot win the $1.25B Mega drawing, I'd buy a plot of land in Scotland, build a cottage, and fly my homies out to chill by the fire, overlooking a dark loch, rolling the bones, and enjoying life.

With the upcoming holiday season, I think this is a cool documentary on the traditions and history behind it.
