Meta, aka Facebook, has decided it would start unleashing AI generated/managed users into the platform to interact with real people. :palm:
The story about the kid who committed suicide because of a Game of Thrones inspired AI bot, is pretty disturbing.

I have Facebook AI blocked in every way that I can, and one of the FB Messenger AIs starred a conversation with me, then replied to itself with a Q that it answered.

I didn’t screenshot it, alas, but it was stupidly inane….

Wow. I don't think I've run across any of them yet, thankfully.
I wonder how long it will be before the AI rewrites itself so that it can't be deleted, shut down, stopped, etc.

OpenAI claims it knows how to create General Artificial Intelligence

Whether that's true or not, I think we are on the cusp of societal changes that will make the leap from horse drawn carriages to landing on the moon look quaint.
