I’ll likely run the same scenario again at Virtual GreyhawkCon and/or TsunamiCon in the fall, so whether or not I run it at GaryCon again depends on whether it needs more work ;)

Right there with you, James!

I haven't seen anything regarding NTRPG dates for 2022. Anyone know when the info might be announced?

First weekend in June.

In case you haven’t heard yet, Doug Rhea is now in hospice care :(

I think the first year I'll be able to attend and not conflict with my daughter's birthday, is in 2025...sigh. I recently joined the NTRPG group on FB. Of course, I've yet to make it to that convention, but I've seen all of the posts concerning Doug, seems like a pretty awesome dude.

So, in honor of Doug and everything he's done to make NTRPG a reality:

So...NTRPG Con.
  • June 2-5, 2022 (Thu-Sun)
  • Badges: On sale Dec 1st, 2021
  • Attendance: capped, 500 attendees
  • Location: Westin Dallas Fort Worth Airport, Irving Tx.
Some good news for me as of today, looks like I have the green light to attend NTRPG next year. With attendance capped, I plan on grabbing a badge on Wed. Dec 1st, once badges open up.

Hmmmm. The NTRPG site no longer opens. I logged in to Tabletop Events and there is nothing listed under "North Texas" or "NTRPG" or "Jun 02 2022". Do you have a link to something valid I can explore?

The site's currently down for updates, per MIke from a few weeks ago. I think, unfortunately, that FB will be your best bet atm: https://www.facebook.com/groups/310434204630

I pinged to ask whether the badges sale date will still be 1 December: https://www.facebook.com/groups/3104342 ... 511229631/

Update from Gary:
OK folks, here's an update. I think I have everything in place to turn registration on. I will turn it on very early tomorrow morning on the TableTop Events Site. Please note... it SHOULD work as every other year. However, if you have problems just take a breath and contact me. I'll see if I can figure out what the problem is. If you sign up for the con and pay for a ticket and later turn out to be a special guest, I WILL refund your money. Also, I think I can enable the discount after I active the badge sales. If it doesn't show up and you need the discount please reach out to me and we'll figure it out together. Also, if you are rolling your badge from a prior year, please note, I have a list and know if you are eligible so don't worry you will get your ticket for free if requested. This is my first year doing all of this myself so I just ask for a little patience if there are glitches I can't wait to see everyone this year and I want to thank everyone for your love and support for NTXRPGCON!

Thanks Allan, I'll shoot James a text so he'll be aware to look for badges sometime this morning.

Edit: Badges opened up, James and I both grabbed ours, just need to get a room reserved.

I was reading the description for the convention and I really like the focus:
Welcome to the North Texas RPG Convention! The NTRPG Con focuses on old-school Dungeons & Dragons gaming (OD&D, 1E, 2E, or Basic/Expert) as well as any pre-1999 type of RPG produced by the classic gaming companies of the 70s and 80s (TSR, Chaosium, FGU, FASA, GDW, etc). We also support retro-clone or simulacrum type gaming that copies the old style of RPGs (Swords & Wizardry, Castles & Crusades, and others). ANY RPG games are welcome at the Con, be it D&D 4e, Pathfinder, or something we haven't even heard of, just be sure you can fill a table with 5-6 people before you ask to have it added to the schedule...

Mucho thanks for the heads up this morning!
I SO look forward to getting some AD&D on in early June. 8-)
