Ugh. That review makes DisneyWillow sound completely wretched.

Well, wretched would be a valid description.
Haha, now those were pretty funny. Back when AGoT was hot on the tube and people flocked to watching something entertaining....<at least until the latter seasons> <cough, cough>

When I think of growing up in the 80s, Anthony Michael Hall is one of those actors that exemplifies that era. From National Lampoons Vacation, to Sixteen Candles, Weird Science and The Breakfast Club, you just can't talk about that decade without something revolving around his films. Working with John Hughes and Harold Ramis, writing for SNL, becoming friends with Mike Tyson, very cool.
Listening to this interview was great, getting a glimpse into his life while shooting movies and all that, just absolutely fantastic. Seems like a pretty awesome guy all round.

If the studio in question has only the rights to The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings books, the options for more films will be slim. If expansion of specific aspects or characters of the books is to be undertaken, it will amount to fanfic. That, combined with the video's speaker repeated requests for "quality over quantity" have me NOT holding my breath.
Hollywood doesn't operate under the guiding principle of quality over quantity.
1. Recall the shit show of The Hobbit films. Should've been one great 3-hour film and was unnecessarily expanded and ruined.
2. Rings of Power didn't stay true to the spirit of the source material and was terrible.
3. Disney has ruined Star Wars for me. The Force Awakens was bad and The Last Jedi was a deliberate insult. And now I can't turn around without seeing another show being put out.
4. Paramount has done the same with Star Trek. The Nemesis film sucked. The Enterprise TV series missed the mark until the end and even then they totally F'd up the series finale episode. The Kelvin timeline material didn't hold true to the spirit of classic Trek. And now there are multiple shows coming out that all look bad and not in line with the spirit of classic Trek.
5. Fast and Furious TEN?!?!!?!
6. Dusting off 800 year old Harrison Ford and digitally de-aging him for yet another Indy film...
Nope. Not holding my breath for quality over quantity.
