Re: Mythic Con West, March 1-3, 2024

I typed up some feedback for the MC West folks. I offered my insights on PROS, CONS, and Recommendations / Suggestions on both. I got a reply thanking me for the write up and timeliness for it as there was to be a meeting of the organizers to discuss for the future.
I devoted a paragraph to the problem of MC West having more than its fair share of BO for a con of its size. I know the organizers can't be the "armpit and asshole police" but I did suggest they include language to the Code of Conduct and/or Health and Safety Guidelines page about hygiene.
On a whim, this morning I went to the MC site on tabletop events and started looking around. On the Health and Safety Guidelines page I noticed my suggestion had been implemented as seen here:
[...]
We are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for everyone at Mythic Con. While we take care to handle some things, most aspects are related to personal choices and how they affect others. Here are some guidelines that we ask all attendees to follow:
Please take care of yourself:
eat
sleep
hydrate regularly
take breaks throughout the day
...and please bathe, wear clean clothes and use deodorant. We do not wish to perpetuate the "smelly gamer" stereotype!
Emphasis mine.
Kudos to Mythic Con for being receptive! Now its up to people to not be nasty. After being subjected to multiple stinking clouds at MC West, my tolerance for that is exhausted.
