Starting this thread for discussion of games (hosting and signing up for), travel info, hotel info, etc.
Already snagged my badge.
I plan to run 2 sessions of C&C set in Aihrde with 6 pre-gens of 5th-6th level that include a cleric, fighter, knight, ranger, thief (from Adventurers Backpack), and wizard. I'd like to coordinate with you and Ben on the scheduling of any sessions we each intend to run to prevent overlap as much as possible so we can try to participate in each other's games, if interested... Don't be offended / surprised if I skip out on your 5E Scooby-Doo on Gilligan's Island scenario. Jus' sayin'.
I intend to fly into AVL on Thursday, 29-Feb and fly out out Monday, 4-Mar on either Delta or United. I'll handle that within the next few weeks.
With that in mind, I went to the Mythic Con site via Tabletop Events, hit the Book Your Hotel Room link.
I plan to book a two bed room and split the cost with someone also interested in reducing the expense.
The hotel site shows no 4-night stays available under the MTH promo code for check in on Thursday, 29-Feb and check out on Monday, 4-Mar.
I took out the MTH promo code and rooms are available for the 4-night stay starting at $123 (for nonrefundable and pay now) and up from there.
I'll call the hotel and speak with someone just to ensure there are no promo code rooms remaining, proceed accordingly, and provide an update here.

I called the hotel this afternoon. The person answering couldn't input anything to their system under the promo code but did advise to call back tomorrow after 0900 EST and ask to be transferred to sales. The folks in sales will be in at that time and, according to what I was told, can force through reservations with the promo code. So that's what I'll do tomorrow to save a few $$$ and lock down a room with two beds. I'll provide an update when I have anything more definitive.

Good to know. It's only a 6 hour drive for me, I'm more than likely going to leave out after noon on Sunday and drive back, I probably won't stay through Monday. However, hitting up Mythic in November, which seems to be a bit larger in attendance, I'll probably stay an extra day for some extra game time.

Got the room reserved! I had to call and speak to someone in reservations to get the Mythic Con promo code for two double beds, non-smoking (of course) with check in on Thursday, 29-Feb and out on Monday, 4-Mar. Once I got hold of someone it went smoothly.

MC West events schedule is up to about 60 entries. Guess I better type up the publicity blurb for mine and get it submitted soon.
EDIT: now up to 71

My C&C scenario, Things Best Forgotten, was approved. I'll be running 2 sessions: Friday, 1-Mar starting @ 8 PM and Saturday, 2-Mar starting @ 8 PM.
I ran Things Best Forgotten at Gary Con in 2017 using AD&D and in 2018 using C&C. The version for Mythic Con will be heavily revised with different and higher level pre-gens built using the PHB 8th printing, revised critters, descriptions, and maps. Spellers will be using the C&C mana point system from the CKG 2nd print rather than the traditional Vancian method. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out.
I emailed the Trolls 3 days ago to see if they'd be interested in providing some swag / prize support for players to help spread the word about C&C. No response as of this afternoon so I sent a follow up email. I tried messaging them on FB but got an auto reply message to email with a given address. We'll see if they respond...

Sign ups opened 1-Feb @ 6 PM CST. By 9:30 the Friday session had 1 seat left out of 6. The Saturday session had 3 seats left out of 6. Not bad for a really small con.
