I don't think Chuck was responding to you directly, it was just in the posts. I had to click Top Comments and change it to All Comments after opening them up and then scrolled down and just happen to catch it after your post.

Another potential option for sometime in the future...

If you scroll down the home page there is a logo that shows "OSR GAMING ONLY SHOW RESPECT" which is cool. I like that OSR GAMING is clearly stated.

Idk, seems a bit amateurish based on their website. For example, it says "Tickets available now" but provides no link. You scroll down and see "To be on Tabletop Events" but again no link. You click on the schedule tab and it says, "Registration opens 7:30am" but what does that mean and what date?
Unfortunately, unless I hear some awesome news across the interwebs of how great this con is, I can't see making any plans to attend.
Aside from NTRPG, the only other con I think I would have interest in attending would be TrollCon, if the Trolls ever get it going, or maybe GameholeCon, even though it's again, in WI, but at least it's in the Fall.

Hmmm. I didn't look that deeply into the website itself. At least they have the OSR spirit going for them.Necron 99 wrote: ↑September 8th, 2023, 3:35 pm Idk, seems a bit amateurish based on their website. GameholeCon (ye gods, what an awful name) is a possibility.Necron 99 wrote: ↑September 8th, 2023, 3:35 pmUnfortunately, unless I hear some awesome news across the interwebs of how great this con is, I can't see making any plans to attend.

A couple pics from Gamehole Con, looks like fun.

Paul Stormberg is attending ArneCon, and can give us the scoop on how good/bad it goes.Necron 99 wrote: ↑September 8th, 2023, 3:35 pmIdk, seems a bit amateurish based on their website. I have heard great things about GHC since it’s inception, but have not been able to carve out time to attend this far. Someday….
Allan.

Yeah, man. I hear you. Maybe someday...
As part of my retirement, I'd like to be able to attend a few cons every year and roll the bones with cool folks.

I did some more tooling around on the Mythic Con site, checking out the events and while reading the description for the AD&D 2E Ravenloft adventure, the last part made me laugh.
Brilliant.
A couple of events which sounded interesting:
Kids on Bikes: "Walkertown, PA in 1986. The air is turning crisp as the school year is kicking off. Short days, long nights, and....disappearing students. Can you and your friends find out what's happening to your schoolmates before it's too late?"
Savage Worlds: "Come take on The Big Boys in this exciting Savage Worlds adventure! There's something a brewin in the old Sanderson Mine, and it's up to you and your kinfolk to find out what's making everybody sick! Get your shotgun and moonshine ready for adventure."
An AD&D 2nd edition game set in the popular Ravenloft world of gothic horror. Characters provided, no experience necessary, those with allergies to THAC0 need not apply.

I played Kids on Brooms for the first time this past weekend at TsunamiCon (our local gaming con in Wichita).
Also played Mophidius Conan, Aliens RPG (Free League), Sentinels (light super hero system), Kids on Brooms (Hogwarts clone), and ShadowDark.
And I ran my big Aliens setup twice: TPK in one, no Marine casualties in the other!
Henry played Kids on Bikes, Aliens once, and ShadowDark with me. KoB was DM’d by my Delta Green DM, and Henry really enjoyed that.
