I'll be flying in on American. Its the only airline out of OMA that has a non-stop route to DFW. All my flights in the past on American have had no problems. Just for S&Gs, I looked at American for JAX to DFW and they have non-stops for that route, too.

I peeked at the events listing at TableTop... no change... still only about 100 events listed. Anything new on FB about when the NTX folks will "get around" to putting up all events for view? I'd like the list to be current before deciding whether or not to submit my C&C idea.Necron 99 wrote: ↑February 28th, 2022, 12:38 pm Important info for game registration; this was posted in the FB group:
OK. With mixed emotions and understanding that Doug is figuratively rolling over in his grave, I am changing the registration release times for "Open" game sign ups. Game sign ups will still be April 15th, however I will open them up at 8:00pm CST this year. (20:00 CST for those that know what that means) Enough people seem to hate the midnight time that I have talked to Mike and we will change it this year. Now, understand this, if the servers are slow at TableTop or if there are so many people on that you don't get the games you want, don't come crying to me.I will also be opening the $5 pre-purchase ticket sales on 3/1. This is where we put half the tickets for each event up for sale before "open" registration so that people who really want to be in a game can reserve their seat in advance. We do this every year so it should be old hat by now. However, if you have questions just IM me.

More events were added sometime last night, not sure when they will open for purchase.

Got it. Saw 3 AS&SH with Talanian running. Saw 1 C&C for Keep on the Borderlands with minis using C&C.
Counted 9 AD&D1e sessions, 2 AD&D2e sessions, and 11 5e. Ugh. I'm kinda hoping NO ONE signs up for 5e to send a message.
So IF I run a C&C event, I'll probably shoot for Saturday evening since it has the least number of events scheduled...

I’m at DisneyWorld, probably won’t end up submitting events until after GaryCon :-/

Pre-reg opened up at 11pm last night, no notification or anything. I know there's been some picking up of the slack after Doug's passing, and I'm not a vet attendee of the convention, but this could have been handled much better, at least give attendees a 12-24 hour notification.
I still need to submit my two games. I'm going to run Advanced Fighting Fantasy, The Warlock of Firetop Mountain, and Lex Arcana, By the Will of the Gods.

This is some Grade A Shit Show so far. No notice. A little forethought and consideration for others is common sense which shouldn't be rocket science to anyone. I would've at least appreciated the opportunity to plan to stay up and have a chance at snagging a ticket. Every ticket for all 6 events I had listed is sold. Sure there are a few tickets left for 4/15 but they will be harder to score when all but the fortunate few go for them.Necron 99 wrote: ↑March 16th, 2022, 10:19 am Pre-reg opened up at 11pm last night, no notification or anything. I agree, the lack of responsibility to even apologize for making a mistake like this is just bad form. Again, I know people are stepping up to help on something that was previously managed by someone else, but like you said, this shouldn't be complicated. I've never managed any aspect of a convention, but even I know that communication before anything goes live for attendees should be front and center and made clear so everyone has opportunities at events.Ancalagon wrote: ↑March 16th, 2022, 9:21 pm This is some Grade A Shit Show so far. I remember what a cluster GaryCon was, fighting for a Gold Badge to get early registration, fighting bad systems during the registration, all sorts of technical issues. But this isn't technical, this is just poor planning and execution.
I checked the site again today, I'm in the progress of submitting my games and I noticed even more events have been dropping, and subsequently filling up. I assume they're being added again, at night, but there is no communication, they just show up randomly. At this point, I'm not even going to try to get a pre-sale ticket. Just going to wait until April 15 and hope for the best.
So far here are the events I'm looking at based on what's available now, I know more events are still being added so some of these may change by Apr 15.
THU
0800 The Seat of Amalorn (D&D BX)
1300 Where the Spirits Dwell (CoC)
FRI
1000 El Diablos Mascara (DCC/Weird Frontiers)
1400 (GMing) The Warlock of Firetop Mountain (Advanced Fighting Fantasy)
1900 Into the Mines of Moria (C&C)
SAT
0900 An Occurrence at Howling Crater (AD&D)
1300 The Oblation Slab of the Hepatomancer (Hyperborea)
1900 (GMing) By the Will of the Gods (Lex Arcana)

I'm stoked that you snagged a ticket for my Into the Mines of Moria! event.

Also stoked that we're both playing in The Bonecollectors Call of Cthulhu game! What a cool approach the GM devised by setting it around the time of the Battle of Towton in the Wars of the Roses. Hell yeah!
I'll keep my eyes open for the AFF and Lex Arcana sessions. I've yet to play either game so it could be a good opportunity.
