Just not whatever it was we had the first time. I think it was powered by two hamster wheels.

Thursday
9 AM - 1 PM In Search of the Unknown Character Funnel DCC

6 PM - 11 PM Legends: Battle on the Ice Chainmail
Friday
10 AM - 12 PM Pandemic Legacy Season 1 Pandemic Board game
1 PM - 5 PM The Unkept Keep Metal, Magic, and Lore
7 PM - 12 AM Castles & Crusades in HarnWorld Zoanthropic Benediction C&C - James' Game
Saturday
10 AM - 2 PM Dragon Age: Infestation of Denerim Dragon Age (Filler)
3 PM - 9 PM Birthright AD&D 2nd
Sunday
OPEN
I'm going to try and grab a seat for Jay's game on Sunday. If it's full up I'll wander off somewhere and find something else. Saturday is also likely to wash for me as well. The Dragon Age game is only half full, and with 15th level characters I'm not hopeful that I'll want to stick through the whole thing. Birthright looks interesting, but it's also only half full. It'll be a lot of wait and see. I'm still trying to get tickets for The Dark Eye (Sat 1 - 5) and When One Door Closes (Sat 8 - Midnight). If I can snag either I'll drop Birthright.

Glad to see you snagged a seat for Zoanthropic Benediction. One of the other players in that session is in my regular gaming group. He's making his first trip to Gary Con this year. Another player is a guy I met last year in a Dark Ages themed AD&D game. This session looks to have a strong mix of players!
Cool that we'll try our hands again with MML. It'll be a nice change of pace from what I've played / DMed the last few years.

Sam, if nothing else, we can try and make room for you at the Sunday game, I'm limiting it to 5 for the purpose of ensuring the players feel like they are a small group against a big thread, but one more player for the sake of our old crew playing should be ok.

I really appreciate that, Jay. My main reason for coming to these events to roll dice with my old friends. I'm also looking forward to another trip to the Tuscan for a great dinner.

Rental vehicle is handled.
I went for a Jeep Grand Cherokee or similar to seat 5 and get a V-6. A 4-banger like we had a few yrs ago with 5 guys and baggage was just sad. Throw in the distinct possibility of wintry weather and the extra bit of engine will be nice.
When I booked it the site said "on airport" which is what I wanted after we froze our arses off last year with the shuttle service fiasco to get to the rental lot. Afterwards it said "shuttle service" so I guess we'll find out...
EDIT: Looks like I got the bait-and-switch with the "on airport" advertisement. According to what I've been able to determine, looks like we'll be shuttling again. Dammit.

Yeah, from what I recall of the ORD airport, there are zero rentals there, all of them require shuttle service.Ancalagon wrote: ↑February 11th, 2019, 10:13 pm Rental vehicle is handled.
