Welcome to Iavas Sûl (ih-ah-vas sool), the town commonly known as the Autumn Harbor and Gateway to the Hinterland.

Leafall, the annual harvest festival, is in full swing as the Bayfolk prepare for the oncoming winter. Travelers and merchants from all across The Bay and locations beyond are here to celebrate and give thanks for another successful year. However, beneath the bright decorations and boisterous laughs, behind the full music and playful merriment, all is not as it seems. From outside the stone walls, somewhere among those ancient trees and from under weathered stone, adventure has a voice. A quiet echo to most but loud enough for those willing to listen.

Perhaps the lost may be found and the old made anew. As the light of each passing day grows short and the shadows long, there is only one question to ask, "Will you answer the call?".

This is an entry level adventure for Castles and Crusades, the fantasy role-playing game by Troll Lord Games.
Pre-generated characters will be provided.
Niiiiiiiiiice.
Imma get in on that! ;) 8-)

Allan.
Are you planning on running anything at GC? I've yet to play in one of your games so am curious...
I will, James, just won’t have time to ponder them until after this weekend’s virtual GreyhawkCon events wind down.
I still haven't planned my events for GaryCon yet, will give some thought to that on the plane this week.

Any requests? I've run a number of my mid- to deeper Castle Greyhawk levels, as well as a bunch of ones from RJK. I have been thinking about building my own key for one of Gary's unpublished levels, as well as one of Erik Shook's levels too.

Otherwise, I'm open to suggestions :D

Allan.

Hmmm. No real requests but I'd be interested is seeing what you work up for one of Gary's unpublished levels. 8-)

Over on Facebook, Mark Clover posted some pictures from GaryCon III. Unfortunately for us, our first attendance was GCVII, so we missed out on 6 years of awesome fun. But, looking at the photos that mark posted, it was cool to see the plethora of Basic D&D, AD&D and at least one table of 2nd Edition. Also noticed some Hackmaster 4e, Castles and Crusades, and Dungeon Crawl Classics.

Loved seeing the old venue and even more, the lack of taint from any edition of WotC D&D, which can't be said now. <sigh>

Emphasis mine.
I see what you did there. Heh.

Speaking of 2e, with the Complete Fighter's Handbook, I might be able to create versions of notable Game of Thrones warrior types like The Red Viper and The Mountain.....

I might be able to do so using Mythras but then I'd need to become proficient with a new system.

I've been missing 2e of late, started reading through some of the campaign settings again, specifically Al-Qadim and the Arabian themed fantasy setting.

Had a similar notification for mine. They added one hour leaving and had me arriving at 3:20pm, which is too late for an arrival. My choices were arriving at 12:15pm, but either I'd have to leave at 6am with a long layover, or leave at 9am, and only have a 35min layover to switch flights which is too short imo. So I switched flights to a 10:30am flight with one hour layover in Charlotte and then arrival at 2:11pm. Unfortunately, that means you'll be waiting around for a couple hours for Quinn and I to arrive, BUT you should have plenty of time to secure the rental car and we can just take the shuttle and meet you there.

Quinn's flight shows a change too, instead of 12:00 to 2:20pm, it's now 11:30am to 1:40pm, but it's still a non-stop flight so I'm not going to change it. He'll just get after you and before me.

With 4 months to go I'll not be surprised if the flights change a couple more times.

I submitted two events, and they're approved, but not officially scheduled yet:

- LEGIO V—Gary Gygax's Castle Greyhawk level keyed by grodog Pending Review Thursday at 19:00 5 hours
- LEGIO V—Gary Gygax's Castle Greyhawk level keyed by grodog Pending Review Saturday at 19:00 5 hours
Explore grodog's version of one of Gary Gygax's unpublished Castle Greyhawk dungeon levels. The Chessboard level existed in either the Original or Expanded Castle Greyhawk. grodog has a copy of the original map, but not the original key. So, you're playing Gary's (slightly modified) map with grodog's key.

Bring your graph paper, dice, and a healthy dose of paranoid courage! 6th-8th level charcaters provided.

The Lake Geneva Legio V began as a handful of gamers who have attended Gary Con since its inception. We have grown over the past few years to include like-minded individuals united by a respect of Gary Gygax and his legacy. We are the dedicated attendees who love Gary Con for the camaraderie it establishes, the Game Masters who run games from across the decades, and the committed gamers who spend these four days in a fervor of dice rolling and old-school good times.

Although events run as LEGIO V Presents will use a variety of rule systems, our focus is on games authored by Gary and his contemporaries as well as those systems whose designers pay homage to these pioneers.
I set the events up for 8 players, and may be able to make room if they fill up as well.

Allan.
