However, this year was really cool because Quinn came down to visit, staying last week through this week. We haven't seen him since 2019 and it's been awesome to hang out for two weeks, take some time off from work and enjoy life. He brought me a cool birthday gift, something he found at a shop back in his home town.
It's a small, replica, letter opener of the Witch-king's blade. It's really cool and despite being something of a novelty item, it's actually pretty sturdy and solid. Goes well on my desk, amongst my other Tolkien books and collectibles.
I also received a very unique item from my mother-in-law. She purchased a handcrafted, hand-painted, genuine leather wallet from Europe, with a LotR theme on it. The coin pouch (and Frodo) is actually hidden behind the door and snap.
