WHAT’S NEW
The Castle Keepers Guide is chock full of mountains of useful material, more than you imagine. But we want to make it even better. Whole sections of the book could use illustrations to better help the game master and the player understand what it they are seeing and doing and how best to do it. From types of ships and wagons to types of barrels and traps; from fortresses to towns from caves to dungeons. It's all in the CKG, now it's time to illustrate it. A sample of the Intended illustrations include the following:
Carrying Items
Wagons
Ships
Biomes
Setting Age
Towns and cities
Fortresses
Types of Houses
Caves
Sample Dungeon map with all room types
Aerial Maneuvers
Catapults
Armor Types
Castles and Crusades

TLG has a current KS for the CKG, latest print. Link HERE.

Since C&C is my favorite in-print rpg, I backed this one. I backed Codex Egyptium last year so I'll have a bit of gaming goodness on the way!

Well... over a year later and I received the backer's pdf for the CKG 3rd print. Haven't looked through it yet... will probably wait for the physical book as I generally use pdf copies for quick searches or copy-paste functions for my DM/CK notes.

Nice. I'm curious to see what they've changed over the course of printings from 2nd to 3rd.

Was reading over the TLG blog earlier and ran across a link back to the PHB 8th print kickstarter, when I realized something that is probably already recognized by others who went in on both the CKG and PHB kickstarters.
Well played, Troll Lords, well played.

Saw a blog post of someone reviewing the one of the newest supplements for C&C: The Adventurers Spellbook. Link to the blog: HERE
- All the spells from the Adventurers Backpack
- All the spells from Elemental Spells
- All the spells from the Players Guide to Aihrde
- Spells from Amazing Adventures Companion
- All the manifold piles of spells that pop up in other source material and adventures
- A complete run of Rune Magic Runes, all 8 Codices
- Chromatic Mage from Hallowed Oracle
Is 'The Adventurers Spellbook' worth getting?! That's a good question & my anwer goes like this. If you are a Castles & Crusades player, dungeon master, or C&C fanatic then the answer is yes! If your casual player?! Possibly because if your one of those guys who only plays mages or wizards then 'The Adventurers Spellbook' is going to be an invaluable guide I feel. As a magical reference for both Amazing Adventures & Castles & Crusades 'The Adventurers Spellbook' is going to be indespensible for the DM or player of these games.

Having all the spells in one place will be convenient... at least until more supplements are released with more spells.

I've been reading through the latest printing of the CKG (3rd) and I have to say, the Trolls have done a great job in stepping up the guide. There are some fantastic chapters in the book, especially for World Building. Below are a couple pages of the imagery they've included, various examples of transportation for both land and sea.
Further on, they go into discussion and examples of communities and civilizations, starting with the smallest of a single dwelling and eventually talking about cities, then breaking down other domiciles such as fortresses, towers, castles, forts, and such, each one showing a map or bisection of what the structure would look like inside and out. They even go on to include a glossary with definitions for occupations and specific parts of buildings and various structures found within or around settlements.

Looks like the Trolls are spitting out a new CKG screen: HERE
After much searching, most of it failed, Jason Vey (author of Amazing Adventures and other games by TLG and Nightshift), found us a printer for the Castles & Crusades CK Screens. This iteration will be slightly different that the last couple. It will move away from the heavy board that we have been using and return to a lighter board with UV coating on it. It will be very similar to the origanal C&C screens and those aware of them, the old AD&D screens.
Basically we were the first to put out heavy board screens. Everyone followed and now we are going back!
These will sport some of the old material, but a we think, be even more functional with the content. We've added things like like lodging costs, names, unarmed combat and made the movement rules much easier to digest.
