UFOs and Alien Tech

I'm not a UFO nut, never have been. I do take interest in stories and such of the supernatural, sci-fi, legends, myths or cryptozoology when it feels worth the read, especially if it's something I can use for gaming, but overall I've never been into conspiracy theories or similar fringe thinking.

In the recent months I've seen some stories in the news about Naval pilots who have come forward to say they've seen some UFOs during flights and other articles that talk about briefings given to folks in D.C. and such on this very topic. I seem to recall in the back of my mind, hearing briefly about Bob Lazar, though I don't recall his name at the time, and some fringe story about how he claimed to work in a secret government section in Area 51 and had seen legitimate proof of alien technology. Today, Joe Rogan had Bob on as a guest and I watched to get the story on his background and everything he claims to have seen and worked on.

Now, I'm not one to believe anything I read, see, or hear on the internet, there's far too much B.S. out there and far too many people looking to lie for any number of reasons. After watching and hearing Bob tell Joe about his life and the experiences he went through, I'll have to admit, I feel pretty confident this guy is the real deal and what he says is the truth. I generally feel I'm a good judge of character and people's mannerisms; listening to how Bob spoke and watching his gestures and expressions, I don't get the sense he is trying to lie about any of this. Logically, it just doesn't make sense, either. His life was turned upside down when he broke this news to the public, so much so, that there was even an attempt to remove everything about him, including his birth certificate, education, and places of employment. I've never known the govt to attempt an erasure of a person's identity if they are just some nut-job spouting off wild tales and fantasy or claiming things like this. Below are some of the short clips from the interview and then a link to the full 2 hour interview. This is really wild stuff and if you have the time, I would suggest watching at least a bit.

I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who feel this is total bunk, for whatever reason. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Honestly, though, as a logical, intelligent person, I'm fairly convinced he's telling the truth. For anyone else who isn't just a crack pot, this alone can change the way a person now thinks about the world universe we live in and everything we think we've ever known.

That's the focus for Kean's book, which is pretty compelling, in particular where they dig into large-scale "wave sightings" when UFOs were seen by hundreds of people over days, months, and/or years. Given that Kean's book is nearly 10 years old, I'm curious about what policy changes, if any, have been made in response to its findings/reports, as well as what looked like increased international cooperation on reporting UFO sightings by aviation officials and military personnel.
